CRESTO SAFETY HAS ISSUED A SAFETY NOTICE FOR INSPECTION

 

This safety notice applies to a batch of Fall Arrest Lanyard products with the following article numbers and assigned serial numbers:

ENERGY SINGLE-FLEX H 100KG

Cresto Safety has been notified that the above products have been found to be incorrectly labelled for use with loads of up to 140kg. This is inaccurate as the maximum load for these products is 100kg. 

Please note when carrying over 100Kg, in the event of a fall there is a possibility that the shock absorber may be fully deployed at 0.6kN, rather than gradually arresting. There is no risk that the lanyard will snap or fail to deploy.

We would advise customers in possession of fall arrest lanyards containing the above serial numbers to check the product information. If the label states a load limit of 140kg, please be aware this is inaccurate. Please contact Cresto Safety at support@cresto.com for further instructions.
